High Altitude Cherry Almond Amaretto Loaf Cake 🍒🌰✨

 



**Ingredients:**


**Cake:**  

- 1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour  

- 1 teaspoon baking powder  

- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda  

- 1/4 teaspoon salt  

- 3/4 cup unsalted butter, softened  

- 3/4 cup granulated sugar  

- 2 large eggs  

- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract  

- 1 teaspoon almond extract  

- 1/4 cup amaretto liqueur  

- 1/2 cup buttermilk  

- 3/4 cup chopped cherries  

- 1/2 cup sliced almonds  


**Glaze:**  

- 1 cup powdered sugar  

- 2 tablespoons amaretto liqueur  

- 1 tablespoon milk  


**Directions:**  

1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x5-inch loaf

pan.  

2. In a bowl, whisk flour, baking powder, baking soda,

and salt.  

3. In another bowl, beat butter and sugar until fluffy. Add

eggs, vanilla, and almond extract.  

4. Mix in amaretto, then alternate adding dry ingredients

and buttermilk, mixing until smooth.  

5. Fold in cherries and sliced almonds, then pour batter

into the pan.  

6. Bake for 50-55 minutes until golden and a toothpick

comes out clean. Let cool.  

7. Mix glaze ingredients until smooth, then drizzle over

cooled cake.
