Pear Cake



Ingredients:

- 1½ cups all-purpose flour (190g) 🌾  
- 1½ tsp baking powder 🥄  
- ¼ tsp salt 🧂  
- ½ cup unsalted butter, softened (113g) 🧈  
- ⅔ cup granulated sugar (135g) 🍚  
- 2 large eggs 🥚  
- 1 tsp vanilla extract 🌿  
- ½ cup sour cream (120g) 🥛  
- 2 ripe pears, peeled, cored & sliced thin 🍐  
- 1 tbsp turbinado or coarse sugar for topping 🍚  

Directions:

Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line an 8-inch
cake pan.  
Whisk flour, baking powder, and salt. In another bowl,
cream butter and sugar until light.  
Beat in eggs one at a time, then vanilla. Mix in sour
cream.  
Fold in dry ingredients until just combined.  
Pour batter into pan and arrange pear slices on top.
Sprinkle with coarse sugar.  
Bake for 40–45 mins, until golden and a toothpick comes
out clean. Cool before serving.
