Aura and Northern Lights

Scientists have discovered that galaxies are surrounded by massive halos of dark matter, reminiscent of observations made more than half a century ago by the Hindu mystic Paramahansa Yogananda. Yogananda described "divine rays" surrounding galaxies that were invisible to modern scientists. The article also discusses Kristian Birkeland's theory of auroras, which are caused by the interaction of charged particles with Earth's magnetic field. The author compares these phenomena and suggests that electromagnetic processes may have a common basis.
