How the research was conducted
Thirty volunteers were assessed by six therapists during a 180-hour trial period. Each patient reported suffering from some form of anxiety in their life. Electrodes were placed around the patients' heads to monitor brainwaves in various areas. Heartbeats were monitored by electrocardiogram, and skin conductance resonance was also measured using a sensor attached to a finger.
At the moment of "equalization," electrodes measured brain activity in four areas. The monitoring revealed increased activity in the parietal lobes, which are thought to be responsible for imagination. This part of the brain was the primary focus of scientists studying Albert Einstein's brain.
