🩸 **KNIFE IN THE HEART II — CHAPTERS 1–5 (EXTENSIVE)**---

# 🔪 **CHAPTER 1 — A YEAR LATER**

Alice wakes up screaming.

It wasn't the first time.
It had become a ritual.

She jumped out of bed, looking around the small apartment. Every mirror was covered. Every reflection was reduced to a minimum. Her phone screen had a frosted film over it. She'd painted the windows "for privacy."

She was never safe.

A sound came from the kitchen.

Soft.

Glass.

Like a drop falling into an empty bowl.

Alice walked in slowly. A glass sat on the counter. The same one she'd hidden in the cupboard a month ago.

On its surface—a fingerprint.

Her fingerprint.

But it wasn't a physical fingerprint. It was a **imprint inside the glass**, as if someone had pressed a finger from the inside.

Alice felt her blood curdle.

Then she heard a soft, familiar whisper:

**“I see you…”**

Everything became too quiet.

---

# 🔪 **CHAPTER 2 — DISAPPEARANCES**

On the TV—a blurry image. The reporter spoke in a quick, nervous tone:

“This is the fourth person to disappear without a trace in a week. The police aren’t ruling out the possibility…”

Alice stared at a photo of one of the victims.

A young girl.

An Instagram photo—a selfie in the bathroom, in the mirror.

Alice knew more than the police.

She knew all too well *what* or *who* could be taking people from the surface of the world.

Then the phone rang.

An unknown number appeared.

“Hello?” she asked cautiously.

There was silence on the line.

And then she heard her own voice.

— **Alice… don't let me die.**
The voice was muffled. Distorted. As if it were coming from light-years away.

And then:
**knocking** on the phone.

As if someone was tapping… on glass.

---

# 🔪 **CHAPTER 3 — PHONE CALL AT MIDNIGHT**

The next night, the phone rang again.

Midnight.

Perfect, symmetrical. The hour of mirrors.

Alice trembled, but she answered.

—Hello?

—**They're taking me…**—said her voice.—**But I'm not you yet. Not yet.**

Alice pressed her hand against the phone.
She pressed the receiver so hard her knuckles turned white.

"Who are you?!

The answer was immediate.

"**You. The other one. The real one."

And then a violent crack sounded in the receiver, as if something had shattered glass in half.

And the connection was cut off.

The phone fell to the floor.

The screen cracked in a perfect, symmetrical line—the same as the wound in the hearts of the victims from Part I.

---

# 🔪 **CHAPTER 4 — BURNED EYES**

The next day, another victim appeared in the media.

A man.
In his twenties.
Found in an office building elevator.

No eyes.

But it wasn't the eyes that were the most terrifying.

To his left stood a large mirror—complete and undamaged.
On its surface—a **reflection of a man with eyes**. Staring at the camera like someone alive.

Alice sat up in bed, feeling the ground slipping beneath her feet.

If the reflections began to stop people…

That meant the “other side” had awakened.

And it wanted something.

**Her.**

---

# 🔪 **CHAPTER 5 — THE RETURN OF THE FISHERMAN**

That same evening, someone knocked on the door.

Once.

Twice.

Silence.

And then a voice:

“Alice, open up. It’s me.”

Alice froze.

She knew that voice.

She hated that voice.

She opened the door.

Commander Fisherman stood in the doorway.

He had lost weight. He had dark circles under his eyes. His hands were shaking. He smelled of smoke and an old hospital.

“We need to talk,” he whispered. "What you released that night… it didn't return to the forest. It followed you."

"What?"

The fisherman leaned closer, his voice barely a whisper:

"Your reflection is already here. And you're not the only one it will replace."

Alice felt her heart begin to beat too fast.

"What should I do?"

The fisherman looked at her in horror.

"Go back to where it came from.

Because if you don't…
it will come for you.

And it won't come alone.
