I also have a cat. So, that day, late in the afternoon, I was sitting at the computer, and she was lying nearby, as usual. Suddenly, she jumped up and ran off. After a while, I heard her growling behind me (I don't know what else to call the sounds she makes). Turning around, I saw her rapidly turning her head, as if watching some invisible bird, and growling. Then she fixed her gaze on my bed. Continuing to growl, she started to approach it, but then quickly jumped back. This happened a couple more times over the next ten minutes.
I picked up the cat and tried to calm her down, but she kept looking somewhere behind me and waved her paw aggressively at my shoulder several times. I felt uneasy—after all, we've all heard legends since childhood about animals sensing the presence of evil spirits. When the cat started growling at the bed again, I picked up the camera, set it on the table, set it to 100 continuous shots, and waited. When the camera finished clicking, I connected it to the computer and began reviewing the results.
About 90 of the photos were ordinary, just a carpet on the wall, and that was it. But the other ten had a white spot, resembling a lens flare or a film defect (these were digital photos). It moved erratically from one corner down to the other. It didn't frighten me, though. After all, the photos weren't of some horrible creature, just a white spot.
That same night, as I was falling asleep, I heard a scraping sound coming from the closet. It was very quiet, but I could hear it in the stillness of the night. Again, it didn't scare me. The house is old, all the furniture is ancient, and there's often a creaking sound behind the wall and in the radiators.
Soon, someone scratched again. Then I brought out the flashlight. I pointed it at the closet, but didn't see anything out of the ordinary. I was about to turn it off when I suddenly saw the cat. She'd been lying on the bed with me the whole time—I thought she'd been sleeping, but no... Her pupils were wildly dilated, her ears were flattened, and she even seemed to be shaking a little. I decided to pet her gently, but as soon as I touched her, she suddenly jumped up and hissed. Then she immediately began looking around, as if she had no idea where she was.
And then the sound came from the closet again, and the door began slamming against a chair full of clothes, which, fortunately, was holding it shut. I shone the flashlight into the doorway and saw something or someone literally thrashing about in the closet. A shadow kept flickering in and out of the doorway. It felt as if someone had put on something from the closet. I even thought I saw a piece of my own T-shirt, which I hadn't worn in a long time.
I was completely stunned. I was trying to figure out how I could quickly turn on the light in the room. And while I was thinking, the flashlight, which I had fully charged that day, flickered and went out. However, at the same time, all movement in the closet ceased...
I pulled the blanket over my head and, with great difficulty, fell asleep towards morning. Strangely enough, everything was quiet the next day. I peered cautiously into the closet—nothing there either. Perhaps the clothes had been rummaged around, but I wouldn't have noticed, since I keep them in a disorganized state anyway.
