Rudolph Valentino's Cursed Ring
Rudolph Valentino's cursed ring, from the moment it was purchased by the young actor in San Francisco, seems to have drawn tragic fates upon its owners. Despite warnings from jewelers, Valentino insisted on acquiring the ring, which accompanied him throughout his film career until his untimely death in 1926. After his death, the ring passed through the hands of a succession of actors, each of whom faced similar misfortunes. It currently resides in a bank, where it continues to generate interest and controversy related to its alleged curse.

Rudolfo Valentino "purchased" the cursed trinket in a San Francisco jewelry store, despite the jeweler's advice against buying what he called this cursed piece of jewelry . But what could he do? The young, promising actor insisted... he allegedly said : "Sir, your stories make this little gem even more charming, and I want it even more. Please sell it to me."
And so, we see the cursed ring on Rudolf's finger in several films, including his first, unsuccessful film, The Young Rajah . The actor wore it while filming The Sheikh's Son —his last film. He died in 1926 of peritonitis, with the ring still on his finger.
After Valentino's death, the ring "went to" his friend, Hollywood actress Pola Negri. However, she fell ill. She recovered a year later, but never regained her former popularity. The actress gave the ring to Russ Colombo, a young actor who bore a striking resemblance to Rudolph. He didn't enjoy it for long – he died in a gun accident.
The next owner of the ring was his friend, Del Cassino, who died in a car accident. The ring passed into the possession of his brother, Del, who, fearing for his life, hid the ring in his home safe, which was soon robbed. The thief was shot during the chase. The ring was found in his jacket pocket.
The jewel was returned to a safe in Cassin's home. It remained there until it was loaned to film producer Edward Small for a biopic about Rudolph Valentino. The victim was the young actor who played Rudolph, Jack Dunn, who died of a rare blood disorder.
Del Cassino decided to free the world from the curse by depositing the ring in a local bank. Since then, the facility has been robbed and burned numerous times, but no one has died. The ring remains there to this day.
