where dreams meet..

"Come on, I'll take you somewhere!" He grabbed her hand, and before she could protest, they got into the car and drove west along the winding road. The sun still hung lazily, uncertainly, as if gripped by fear, above the horizon, but soon the distance between it and the narrow line just ahead diminished visibly. The horizon was tinted with shades of purple and red. A sad song was playing on the radio, so she turned up the volume and leaned her head against the window, closing her eyes.

Can't you see?
You mean everything to me?
You're in my heart.
You've touched my soul.
You're all I'll ever need.
And it hurts so bad .
Not to have you by my side.
Nothing's right; I cry all night
Just waiting for your call

I'll be waiting for you till the sun don't shine
I will wish on a star to make you mine
I'll be dreaming all night that you're by my side
I'll be waiting for you
Said I'll be waiting for you till the end of time
Can't you see that I need you in my life
You're all that I want; I can't deny
I'll be waiting for you

Love is hard
When the days can seem so far
We were both inseparable
And now we're torn apart
I refuse to try again
To love to someone new
Cuz what we shared was heavenly
Like a rose that's in full bloom

You make me so happy
I never thought I'd lose you
You're love was and still is
The only thing I run to

Every minute of every hour
You know I'll be waiting for you

- We are! - he whispered right next to her ear. She opened her eyes and looked out the window. To the right there was a beautiful view of the sea lapping against the stones just below them. The sky was blanketed with fluffy clouds spilled like milk on his palette. She got out of the car and exhaled loudly.
"That's nice, sir!" she complimented. He smiled and took a large bag from the trunk, which he quickly placed on the ground.

"Beautiful..." she whispered, her gaze fixed on the sun setting over the sea. The sky ahead, awash in twilight colors, shimmered in the light of the approaching night. He sat down behind her and wrapped his arms around her, placing his hands on her stomach. She leaned softly against his chest and stared straight ahead.
"Sometimes I wonder...
" "What?" she asked sleepily.
"What would it be like...
" "If we weren't here?" she laughed, and he only nodded. She sighed.
"Everything would be the same... One or two individuals don't significantly affect the shape of this world... Although... who knows if other people's lives would be the same..." she thought aloud, playing with his hands.
"It's all so strange... One moment we're alone, somehow moving forward, and the next...
"We're sitting on some slope, watching another day pass... watching a piece of our story end..." she finished. They understood each other perfectly.

"Are you cold?" he asked as she shivered, wrapping her arms around her knees. She was looking straight into the fire and wasn't really cold. She was missing something she couldn't define. But the boy pulled out another blanket and, lying down next to her, covered them both with it.
They looked at the stars, the fire slowly dying down next to them.
"And what will happen... when we're gone?" she asked after a moment, her gaze fixed on Sirius.
"Everything will go on. Its own steady rhythm...
" "You won't turn back the life of the waves! Complaints won't help anything. "Powerless anger, vain regret! The world will go on its own way," she said quietly. "But this world is beautiful, you know?"
He looked at her. Smiling, she gazed at the constellations, the firelight illuminating her face. He reached out and stroked her cheek. Their eyes met.
"Will you play something for me?" she asked quietly, not taking her eyes off him.
"Sure," he kissed her lightly and reached for his guitar. After a moment, the soft strains of a song she knew well emerged.
"...always where you are..." she hummed under her breath. The guitar's notes blended with the roar of the nearby sea. And the black space just above them, pierced by the glow of silver stars, dazzled with its beauty and power, a power that would one day show them what it was like... on the other side of the sky they longed for...
