Coincidence

To what extent is it possible for a random arrangement of sticks/coins or cards to lead to actual knowledge of the future? Could some "success," for example, be merely the result of coincidence?

The Oxford Dictionary defines a coincidence as "a noteworthy set of events with no obvious causal relationship." This reminds me of Chaos Theory. Could this mean, for example, that our interpretation is too reductionist for us to understand the cause

The C-class intergalactic fighter, aptly named " Balbina ," glided with characteristic grace toward the constellation Beta D . The unassuming craft, shaped like a Coca-Cola bottle with the neck cut off, moved through the vastness of the universe with incredible grace.
