Ingredients
Cheese 125g
Flour 125g
Milk 250g
Butter 15g
Salt 1/4 tsp
Eggs 2
Cayenne Pepper
Combine the milk, melted butter, flour, and salt in a bowl and whisk until smooth. Fold in the beaten eggs one at a time, being careful not to overbeat.
Add a pinch of paprika or cayenne pepper to the grated cheese, grease ovenproof baking pans, and line the bottom of each with 1-2 tablespoons of cheese.
Add the same amount of dough, top with a few more tablespoons of cheese, then fill each pan with dough until 2/3 full.
Bake for 15 minutes at 230°C, then reduce the temperature to 180°C and bake for another 20 minutes. Serve the popovers immediately, once they've cooled.
