Feta and Mushroom Pies



Ingredients
For the dough:
Flour 500 g
Milk 1 cup
Egg 1
Dry yeast 1/2 packet
Vegetable oil 1 tbsp
Sugar 2 tsp
Salt 1 tsp
For the filling:
Mushrooms 300 g
Feta cheese 100 g
Salt
Pepper
Herbs
Egg yolk

Mix warm milk, yeast, and sugar. Let sit for 10 minutes. Separately, beat the egg with salt and butter. In a large bowl, sift the flour. Pour the milk and egg mixture into the flour and knead into a smooth, elastic dough. Let the dough rest in a warm place for an hour, covered with a towel.

Cut the mushrooms into small pieces and fry in butter. Add salt and pepper. After 3-4 minutes, add the diced feta, let sit for another 2 minutes, then add the herbs, stir, and let cool.

Punch down the dough and divide into approximately 12 equal portions. Roll each portion out and place 1 tablespoon of filling in the center, then pinch the edges together.

Place the pies on a baking sheet and let rise for half an hour. Brush the pies with egg yolk and bake in a preheated oven at 180°C for half an hour.
