Pea Soup



Ingredients
1000 g Peas
2 Onions
125 g Cream
6 Slices White Bread
Butter
Salt
Sugar

Finely chop the onion. Cut the white bread into slices. Melt the butter or margarine, then sauté the onion. Add the frozen peas to the same pan. Pour in 3/4 liter of water and bring to a boil. Reduce the heat to low. Cover the pan with a lid. Let the peas simmer for 10 minutes.

Using a blender, puree the peas until the soup is thick. Gradually stir in the cream. Season the soup with salt, pepper, and a pinch of sugar.

Melt the butter in a frying pan over medium heat. Add 120g white bread cubes. Fry, stirring occasionally, for about 4 minutes. Season with salt. Add the cooked croutons to the soup.
