Ingredients
1 head of cabbage
1 onion
1 carrot
Vegetable oil
Salt
Ground black pepper
Bay leaf
Dill
Parsley
Thyme
Sage
Oregano
Butter
Finely chop the onion, then cut the carrots and cabbage into thin strips. Fry the onion and carrots in a small amount of vegetable oil. Bring the water to a boil, season with salt, add the bay leaf and dried herbs, then add the cabbage and the fried vegetables. Bring to a boil over high heat, then reduce the heat and simmer for 5 minutes. Remove from heat, add a knob of butter and season with pepper, cover, and let sit for 15-20 minutes. When serving, sprinkle with fresh herbs and optionally add sour cream.
