Curse

There are many well-known curses, ranging from the events following the discovery of Tutankhamun's tomb to those associated with Voodoo. A specific sociopsychological mechanism can be observed in each.

Consider how people involved in excavations in Egypt might feel increasingly affected by the curse. Rationally, they should undoubtedly ignore this feeling, but could their subconscious minds be exerting any influence?

If so, one might then observe how the probability increases, causing synchronistic action that could lead to an accident or affect someone's health. I could argue, dear reader, that, like the Titanic and divinatory practices, a culture could be created in which the mind could guide you to your own destiny.

For centuries, such power has been placed within the sphere of "evil" influence and called a "hell." I suspect that "believing" in its power can cause you to bring the "hell" upon yourself.
