What is cryptozoology ? How should we treat reports of Yeti, Almas, Bigfoot, etc.

Cryptozoology is the term coined by French zoologist Bernard Heuvelmans for the scientific study of species whose existence is reported but not fully documented. The Greek word kryptos means "hidden." Thus, cryptozoology literally means "the study of hidden animals." The International Cryptozoological Society (ICC) is founded. Its leadership includes biologists, zoologists, and paleontologists from universities and museums around the world. Cryptozoologists devote considerable attention to the possible existence of living ape-men in various unexplored corners of the world. There are numerous documented reports of modern "wild people."

Existing theories can be challenged. It's difficult to replace them with new ones. How do you think the human race originated and developed?

To explain the origin and development of humans, we should first try to understand what a human being is. If we think of humans as composed solely of ordinary matter, this limits the explanations we can provide. According to ancient Indian scriptures,

According to Sanskrit, humans (and all other living beings) are composed not only of matter, but of matter, mind, and spirit. Once this is confirmed, the possibility of explaining human identity and origins increases. This problem is the subject of my next book, which I titled Human Devolution. In short, I propose that we did not evolve from matter; rather, we descended—through a process of deevolution—from spirit. We originally existed as particles of spiritual consciousness on a spiritual level of reality, but through the misuse of intelligence and free will, we descended to lower levels. In this process, our spiritual essence became obscured by mind and matter.
