Shrimp in Sweet and Sour Sauce



Ingredients
Shrimp 350 g
Onion 1
Garlic 2 cloves
Canned pineapple 150 g
Soy sauce 1 tbsp
Sugar 1 tbsp
Tomato sauce 1 tbsp
Vegetable oil 1 tbsp

First, peel the vegetables, wash, and dry the shrimp. Pour a little oil into a frying pan and heat thoroughly. Finely dice the onion and add it to the pan.

Fry briefly until the onion becomes translucent. Meanwhile, mince the garlic and add it to the pan with the onion. Stir thoroughly until the garlic is lightly browned (it shouldn't burn).

When the garlic and onion are golden, add the shrimp.

Add the soy and tomato sauce. Mix thoroughly. Drain the syrup from the canned pineapple. If you're using rings, cut them into small cubes and add them to the pan.

Simmer the sauce over low heat for about 5 minutes. Then add sugar to taste and, if desired, add a little of the pineapple syrup. Once the shrimp in sweet and sour sauce are ready, serve immediately, garnished with fresh herbs, for example. You can also add a drop of vinegar or a splash of dry white wine to the sauce, if desired.
