Baking powder 2 tsp
Cinnamon 1/2 tsp
Salt 1/2 tsp
Eggs 2
Brown sugar 1/2 cup
Sugar 1/2 cup
Vegetable oil 1/2 cup
Vanilla extract 2 tsp
Apples 3
Toffee 1.5 cups
Milk 1 tbsp
Peel and grate the apples. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Spray a donut pan with cooking spray and set aside.
Whisk the flour, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt in a large bowl. In a medium bowl, beat the eggs, brown sugar, and sugar until smooth. Add vegetable oil and vanilla extract and whisk. Add the flour mixture and mix until smooth. Stir the batter into the grated apples.
Pour the batter into the prepared donut pan, filling each cavity completely. Bake the donuts until golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. This takes about 15-20 minutes.
In a small bowl, combine the toffee and milk. Microwave for 1 minute on medium power and stir. Repeat until the toffee is completely melted and the mixture is smooth. If you're making small donuts, dip them directly into the caramel. If you're making larger donuts, drizzle the caramel over them with a spoon.
