Honey Crackers with Chocolate and Nuts



Ingredients
Butter 220 g
Honey 1/3 cup
Vanilla 1 tsp
Walnuts 3/4 cup
Dark Chocolate 170 g
Flour 2.5 cups

Preheat oven to 175 degrees Celsius. Grease a pie pan with butter. In a mixer bowl, beat the butter and honey until smooth. Add the vanilla, then gradually add the flour (one cup at a time), mixing after each addition.

When all the flour has been added, fold in the chopped toasted nuts. Pour the batter into the pan and smooth the surface. Using a sharp knife, cut the batter into even triangles. Bake for 35-40 minutes, until golden brown.

 Turn off the oven and leave the pan in the oven for about 10 minutes. While the croutons are baking, melt the chocolate in the microwave. Remove the croutons from the pan, pour the melted chocolate over them, sprinkle with chopped nuts, and refrigerate until the chocolate hardens.
