First, preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius (350 degrees Fahrenheit) and prepare a baking sheet by lining it with parchment paper or lightly grease it. Place the jar of Nutella in the freezer for 10 minutes. Meanwhile, work with the prepared dough.
Lightly flour the work surface, place a sheet of prepared puff pastry on it, and roll it out slightly, using a rolling pin in one direction. This will ensure the dough is airy. However, there's no need to roll it out too much; this will make the finished dessert fluffier and fuller.
Cut out an even number of hearts, spoon about one tablespoon of Nutella onto each heart (you can use as much filling as needed, depending on the size of the hearts and the amount of filling you want), top with a second heart, and seal the edges tightly (pressing lightly) with your hands or a fork. Repeat with the remaining hearts.
Carefully place the hearts on a baking sheet and bake for about 10 minutes, until fully cooked and nicely golden brown. Decorate the finished buns with melted white chocolate or powdered sugar.
