Mocha Mousse Cake Recipe ☕🍰
Ingredients:
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 2 tablespoons instant coffee granules
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 4 large eggs
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 1 cup heavy whipping cream
- 8 ounces semi-sweet chocolate, chopped
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
Directions:
1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line a
9-inch springform pan with parchment paper.
2. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder,
instant coffee granules, sugar, and salt.
3. In a separate bowl, beat the eggs and vegetable oil
until well combined. Gradually add the dry ingredients to
the wet mixture, stirring until a smooth batter forms.
4. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for
25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center
comes out clean. Let the cake cool completely.
5. For the mousse, heat the heavy whipping cream in a
saucepan over medium heat until it simmers. Remove
from heat and stir in the chopped chocolate until melted
and smooth. Add vanilla extract and let it cool for 10
minutes.
6. Once the cake is cool, spread the mousse evenly over
the top. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours to set. Slice and
serve chilled.
