You promote the hypothesis that both hominids and modern humans coexisted side by side in the past.
Sanskrit scriptures from ancient India mention so-called ape-men coexisting with humans anatomically indistinguishable from us. There is abundant evidence for this—hundreds of finds. Let's take a look at one of them. According to modern archaeologists, the first hominid is Australopithecus. Last year, Ron Clark discovered a nearly complete Australopithecus skeleton in Sterkfontein, South Africa. This hominid from Sterkfontein, dated to 3.7 million years ago, has been hailed worldwide as the "oldest human ancestor." However, there is ample evidence showing that anatomically fully developed humans existed at the same time. This evidence includes footprints, artifacts, and human skeletal remains. In 1979, Mary Leakey discovered dozens of footprints in Laetoli, Tanzania. They are found in layers of hardened volcanic ash dating back 3.7 million years. Thus, the Laetoli footprints are the same age as the Australopithecus from Sterkfontein.
