Ingredients
For the dough:
70 g butter
1 egg
2 tbsp powdered sugar
2 tbsp water
1/5 cup flour
1/6 tsp vanilla flavoring
For the filling:
400 g cherries
3 tbsp sugar
1 tbsp flour
For the crumble topping:
50 g almonds
2 tbsp sugar
1/2 cup flour
30 g butter
2 tbsp flaked almonds
Sift 1 cup flour into a bowl, add diced butter, vanilla flavoring, and powdered sugar. Mix everything to form crumbs. Add water, egg, and the remaining flour, and knead the dough.
Grease a 22-23 cm springform pan with butter. Roll out the dough into a thin circle, transfer it to the pan, and form a 2-2.5 cm high edge. Prick the top with a fork. Freeze the pan while the oven preheats, turning it to 200 degrees Celsius (400 degrees Fahrenheit).
Place the pan in the oven and bake for 5 minutes. Drain the cherries, add the sugar and flour, and stir. In a separate bowl, mix the almonds, sugar, butter, and flour into crumbs, adding the flaked almonds last.
Remove the dough from the oven, spread the cherries over the top, sprinkle the crumbs over the top, and return to the oven. Bake until golden brown. Carefully transfer the finished pie to a wire rack.
