Ingredients
For the dough:
1 cup walnuts
500 g flour
2 tsp baking soda
300 g honey
300 g sugar
6 eggs
For the frosting:
700 g full-fat sour cream
200 g powdered sugar
1 packet vanilla sugar
70 g milk chocolate
Whisk the eggs and sugar until white. Add baking soda and honey (if the honey is thick, melt it in a double boiler). Grind the walnuts in a meat grinder and add them to the egg-honey mixture. Add the sifted flour. The dough will be thick. Grease a rectangular pan with vegetable oil and line it with parchment paper. Spoon in 1/4 of the dough and smooth it out. Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C for about 15 minutes, until a beautiful bronze color.
Bake 4 cake layers, cool, and trim the edges evenly. Bake the layers in the oven until golden brown, cool, and then puree in a food processor.
For the frosting, beat sour cream with powdered sugar. Spread each cake layer generously with the frosting. Grease the sides as well and sprinkle with the chopped cake trimmings. Grate chocolate and sprinkle it on top of the cake.
