Ingredients
Beef 450 g
Carrot 1
Onion 1
Potatoes 400 g
Garlic 3 cloves
Spices to taste
Cut the carrots into slices, the onion into half rings, and sauté in vegetable oil. Chop the garlic, add to the onion and carrots, and heat for 5 minutes.
Cut the potatoes into cubes or wedges and fry separately. Chop the meat into medium-sized pieces and fry in oil until golden brown.
Place the meat in the bottom of a clay pot, season with salt, pepper, and spices of your choice (we used cloves) plus a bay leaf. Then add the potatoes and the fried onions, carrots, and garlic. Add a little more salt, sprinkle with rosemary, add another bay leaf, and add a little broth or water.
Cover and bake in the oven for about 1 hour at 180-200 degrees Celsius. Fifteen minutes before the end of cooking, pour over sour cream, sprinkle with chopped herbs, and bake.
Serve in a pot or simply on a plate.
