Ingredients
1000 g potatoes
2 eggs
1 onion

Pepper
Olive oil
For the paste:
200 g salted salmon
4 tbsp sour cream
1 tbsp horseradish

First grate the onion, then the potatoes. Squeeze out any excess juice from the grated potatoes; this will prevent them from falling apart, so there's no need to add flour.
Beat the eggs. Season with salt and pepper and mix well. Using a serving spoon, place the eggs in a preheated frying pan with olive oil. Fry.
Make the salmon paste: Place the salmon, sour cream, and horseradish in a blender. Grind until coarsely chopped. Finely chop the onion. Mix everything together, adding red caviar if desired. But it's also great without.
