Place the washed chicken legs in a saucepan, cover with cold water, and set over high heat. When the water boils, reduce the heat to low, add salt to taste, add an unpeeled, washed onion, and cover with a lid.
After 30 minutes, remove the onion and add the diced carrots. After 5 minutes, add the peeled and diced potatoes and taste for salt. Cook for another 10-15 minutes.
Then add the vermicelli and cook for 15 minutes. Then add the spices. Turn off the heat after 5 minutes. Let the soup steep for 10 minutes. You can top the soup with half a hard-boiled egg, sour cream, and finely chopped herbs.
