A wall with writing on it"Writing

on the wall." The clock struck 7:30.
"Julka, keep getting up!" Mom's voice echoed in the sleepy girl's room.
"Mom, how many times do I have to ask you! Tuesday's due date is 10:45! I don't know, write it down on the TV, on the fridge, or buy something by heart!" Jula snapped.
Confused, Mom left the girl's perfectly sterile, blue-painted room. Then she left for work. Meanwhile, Julka performed the morning waking ceremony. Morning toilette, music. Next, yoga. Jill (Julka's nickname, coined by her best friend and neighbor, Lena) believes that yoga will improve her physical and spiritual well-being, and that will come in handy, as it's almost 10:30!
"Oh, gosh!" she said to herself, and in a moment she was at the bottom of the staircase
. After a 15-minute walk, she reached the school, the "Public Primary School in Strzelce Krajeńskie." That day, Julka's first lesson was in room 38. She was just heading towards the classroom when she spotted a new boy. He was dressed casually, but not arrogantly. And those beautiful blue eyes of his!
"Hi. Will you show me where 38 is?" the "new boy" asked.
"I'd love to," Julka said, a blush appearing on her face, which looked beautiful on her bright cheeks and reflected interestingly against her red hair.
Julka's happiness didn't last long, because the school's Miss Iwona appeared in the hallway (when she has something to do, the crown falls off her head – that's the motto of her enemies, who include Lena and Julka).
"Hi," the sharp scent of perfume wafted around Julia's nose. "I'd be happy to help you and show you around the school. I'll show you where the library is," Iwona said sweetly.
"I hate you," Jill hissed quietly.
And the boy disappeared around the corner...

The next morning, Julka, in addition to yoga and listening to music, painted her eyelashes and powdered her cheeks.
As she entered school, she looked around carefully. The boy she'd met the previous day was sitting with two friends outside the classroom. When he saw Julia, he stood up and approached her.
"Just take it easy, I'm sure I'll get the hang of it." Thousands of thoughts raced through the girl's head.
"Hi, I don't know if you remember me, but yesterday I asked you about one of the offices. Then, what do you know, this girl came and practically dragged me to room 38. That, you know... Lena!" the boy said
. "Not Lena, but Iwona! Lena is a decent person, my dearest friend, and besides, what can I tell you about myself? I don't even know your name." A rather awkward sentence escaped Jill's lips.
"I'm Piotrek, nice to meet you," he replied.
And just at that moment, the bell rang for class. Julka went to class with regret. But not with regret that it was math—but because she had to say goodbye to Piotrek.
The lesson went by surprisingly quickly, even though the girl couldn't chat with her friend—Lena wasn't at school.
"Damn, what's going to happen now... I think he likes me... come what may, I'm going to him!" As she thought, she did. She went to the boy and was unfortunately very surprised.
"How could you do this to me?!" a very angry Piotr shouted in the crowded hallway, right in her face. "And I trusted you," he added after a moment.
"But... How so? What's your point?" The girl wanted to cry.
"Don't pretend to be stupider than you are! Only an idiot would sign an uncensored graffiti about me on the wall!"
Julka couldn't understand. She ran to the restroom and burst into tears. Kasia, a quiet and calm girl, an exemplary student, watched the entire incident. She followed her to the restroom.
"Julcia, Julka... open the door," Kasia pleaded
. "Go away! Leave me alone!" Julia shouted.
"I saw it all... I know what happened. It was that school girl, that nasty Iwona who did it! Didn't you notice she went to the bathroom during math? She probably wrote it then." She quickly but clearly explained.
The restroom door opened. Julka washed her face and went outside with Kasia to see the wall—there was indeed a spray-painted sign, which Jill hadn't read aloud. There were these words... However, one detail caught her attention. The signature "Jill" didn't have a dot above the letter "i," but a heart—that's how Iwona signs it! So she and Kasia had another argument that Julka was innocent. They were just pondering how to explain it all when Sławek suddenly ran into the yard.
"They caught Iwona! They caught her writing another text about that s---
" "Piotr!" Everyone said in unison,
"Julka, you're innocent!" And Iwona needs to wash that writing off the wall.
The next day, an assembly was called at school. Iwona received a reprimand. But what happened at the assembly isn't interesting—what happened afterward is more important. Piotr gave Julka a bouquet of white roses.
"I'm sorry," he whispered. And he disappeared with a horn.
From then on, Julia and Piotr maintained a very good relationship. Their paths diverged in middle school, as Julia received a scholarship and chose middle school in Gorzów Wielkopolski. After that, they never saw each other again.
Julia had forgotten about the story, but it all came back to her recently, during Independence Day, while listening to the song "Mury" (
