The last action

They walked down the corridor. Their stride was confident and determined. There was no trace of fear in their eyes. Their current state was the complete opposite of when they arrived at this job six months ago. No wonder they weren't sure they were making the right decision by accepting the job offer from over six months ago. Everyone told them it wasn't for them, but they finally decided. As it turned out, their choice proved to be entirely wise.

Klaudia and Sylwia were two beautiful women. The former was a tall, slender blonde with shoulder-length hair. Sylwia was slightly shorter, but she was as beautiful as the former in every respect. She had long hair and was a brunette with a dark complexion. Both work in an experimental anti-terrorist unit. At first, everyone made fun of them, but now they respect them. Currently, Klaudia and Sylwia are the best here, and the boss entrusts them with the most difficult cases. However, the next challenge they would face would require far more skill, courage, and determination than any of the previous ones...

They entered a large room bustling with people. Next to the entrance stood a desk, at which sat a secretary. The woman was searching for something in the desk. She had long, red hair and looked somewhat distracted.
"Hi Dagmara! How are you?" Sylwia asked politely.
"Hey! I'm fine, but the boss is furious—you're late again!"
"But this time, only 45 minutes left! We're improving," Klaudia said with a smile.
"Don't tell me about it! Go to the boss—he has some new matter to deal with," Dagmara said.
Klaudia and Sylwia went to the boss's office. On the way, they quickly thought of an excuse for another lateness. However, they had no idea. They entered a large room, where a man sat at a desk. He was a brunette with dark skin. His expression, however, didn't betray frustration. It was more of concern—something was deeply troubling the man...
"Hi Bartek!" Sylwia greeted ingratiatingly. "Is something wrong?
" "Sit down!" the boss said. "We have a serious problem. What you're about to hear cannot leave this department. Have you heard about the assassination attempt on politician Tytus Romus?
" "No... Was there an assassination attempt?" Klaudia asked, surprise evident on her face. Neither she nor Sylwia watched the news, as most of them aired at the same time as their favorite soap operas.
"As usual, you know nothing..." Bartek said, exasperated. "Yesterday we received an anonymous letter containing a threat. The author wrote that if we didn't meet their demands, they would kill politicians from the "PSR" (Polish Workers' Party) party one by one. However, the demands weren't announced. Despite this, we assigned security to the most important PSR representatives. I couldn't provide protection for all the politicians; it was impossible. Besides, I wasn't sure if the letter wasn't a joke, and I didn't want to spread unnecessary panic. Naturally, I couldn't contact you by any means available. You weren't at home, and your cell phones were turned off...
" "But we had the day off yesterday!" Sylwia interrupted her boss. "We were at a party...
" "That means nothing! You work in an anti-terrorist unit, not at some ordinary police station, so you must always have your cell phones on you!" Returning to the attack, today I received a second message indicating that this terrorist organization is "Black Twilight"—a Polish group that frequently meddles in political affairs. When something doesn't suit them, they simply attack. "Black Twilight" is led by a woman. We don't know her surname, only that she's Polish and her name is Monika.
"A woman is leading terrorists?!" Sylwia asked, astonished. The surprise on her face never faded during the conversation. "Has this group made any demands?
" "The terrorists are threatening to kill three politicians a day—first from the Polish Socialist Party (PSR), then from other parties—if they don't receive one million złoty. The first deadline for delivering the money is tonight. Antoni Pops, the chairman of the PSR, is supposed to bring the suitcase with the banknotes. The Sejm has already declared that he is able to provide the money. However, they want us to protect the politician while they hand over the suitcase to the terrorists. "Black Twilight" won't agree to this, so we'll have to stay hidden. According to the agreement, the terrorists are to report to the docks at 7:00 PM.
"It's already after 11:00 AM! We only have eight hours!" Sylwia pointed out. "Who will go to the docks?
" "We have to plan everything by 3:00 PM," the boss stated. "You two will be in charge of the operation; I'll put the best people at your disposal. I know this is something new for you, so I'll help you plan the operation so that everything is perfect. You can't mess anything up; it's of the utmost importance!
" "Of course, boss, you can count on us," they replied with a smile.
"Remember, we're supposed to stay hidden, not attack terrorists. No heroism, this is too serious an operation!" Bartek's expression turned stern. Both Klaudia and Sylwia were known for their actions, mostly seen in American action films. Attacking criminals independently was their norm. Instead of waiting for backup, the girls preferred to take down groups of bandits themselves. They usually succeeded, but this time they were dealing with something much more serious than before.

Everything was meticulously planned before 2:30 PM. During those three hours, Sylwia had easily painted her nails in various fanciful patterns. It was clear she was good at it. Klaudia, in turn, read the latest issue of "Życie gwiazd." Meanwhile, the boss wrote out the plan and made several amendments, complaining about the girls' irresponsibility. He knew they'd approached this task too carelessly, but he couldn't convince them to take a closer look. However, he had to trust two beautiful girls. At 3 p.m., the boss ordered the team to prepare for the operation. The entire team was to dress in civilian clothes to minimize conspicuousness. Sylwia took this "a bit" too seriously – she spent half an hour pondering what to wear. After much deliberation and numerous outfit changes, she chose a tempting, short, pink skirt and a short-sleeved white blouse. She put on long, black boots. Bartek wasn't happy with her outfit and ordered her to change. However, when she asked if he was jealous of the terrorists, the entire team started laughing, and he had to stop further attempts to persuade her to change. Klaudia had no problem choosing her outfit. She skillfully dressed in inconspicuous clothes – denim pants and a green blouse. At 3:45 p.m., the entire team set off in their cars for the docks. Bartek decided to go with them because he couldn't fully trust his exuberant partners. Klaudia complained that her outfit was inappropriate. She tried to convince her boss to turn the cars around so she could change. Fortunately, this didn't happen, as Bartek managed to convince her that she looked great and no change of outfit was necessary. They arrived at their destination at 3:57 PM. The docks were a small part of the local port. It was terribly dirty and gloomy. It wasn't used very often, so no one took much care of it. Sylwia initially refused to get out of the car, afraid that her boots would get ruined. And here, the boss had to intervene – he said he would buy her two pairs if the boots were ruined. Only then did the girl agree to get out of the car. "Why am I agreeing to all this? I should have thrown them out a long time ago," Bartek thought, but then he realized that without Klaudia and Sylwia, this anti-terrorist unit would be... empty and would lose a lot.if they left her.

By 4:30 PM, everything was ready to receive the terrorists. Everyone waited in suspense. Bartek was still making adjustments to the plan. He knew that if this operation failed, his department would be deemed useless and closed down. He was in his hideout with Sylwia and Klaudia, so he didn't have much chance to concentrate. The women chatted constantly. It would be a shame if the topic of their conversation was the operation that was to unfold within the next few hours. The women found a more interesting topic – they talked about the latest episode of "Colors of Sin." When the topic ran dry, they began to complain that they wouldn't be able to watch today's episode of another of their favorite shows, blaming their boss. The three were stationed near the largest warehouse, located in the center of the docks. The rest of the team was stationed in various other locations, constantly updating them on current events. At 6:30 PM, a limousine arrived at the docks carrying several politicians, including Antoni Pops, who was carrying a suitcase loaded with cash. The leader positioned him in the middle of the docks – exactly where the terrorists had ordered – and then, along with the rest of the team, hid in their pre-designated spots. Everyone knew they had a difficult task ahead of them...

At 7:02 PM, a black helicopter appeared in the sky. The entire anti-terrorist team held their weapons at the ready. Antoni Pops began walking toward the landing helicopter. Everyone held their breath as the chairman handed Monika – the terrorist leader – a suitcase containing a huge sum of money. However, no one expected what happened moments later. Two explosions erupted simultaneously, and armed terrorists began running from various directions, shooting at the anti-terrorist units. A bloody massacre began. Continuous explosions and gunfire from various weapons could be heard all around. Meanwhile, our three heroes were only concerned with the fact that they had to defend the five politicians inside at all costs. Klaudia ran to the four figures in the limousine. She kept firing, she was excellent at it. She ran to the car and ordered the politicians to get out and run as fast as possible towards the nearest warehouse. She followed them there, all the while aiming her MP-40 at the omnipresent terrorists. She ordered the men to stay inside and closed the warehouse gate. Meanwhile, Bartek and Sylwia tried to get through the enemy crossfire to the chairman of the PSR party, who had managed to escape and hide behind a medium-sized container. The man was terrified. The boss didn't know what to do. Sylwia couldn't stand this kind of waiting. She broke into a run towards the container, which was quite far away.
"No!" Bartek shouted and ran after the woman. Suddenly, he noticed Monika aiming her gun at Sylwia. The boss accelerated. He saw the terrorist leader pull the trigger. The bullet flew toward Sylwia. At that moment, Bartek jumped forward and blocked the bullet's path with his body. The man fell to the ground. The bullet struck him in the chest. Sylwia, ignoring the bullets piercing the air, ran to Bartek.
"Leave me alone! Take care of this guy!" Bartek whispered. "You have to save him! Take command." The man grabbed the gun and began shooting at the terrorists. Sylwia dragged him to the wall of a nearby warehouse and ran to Pops. When she reached the man, she felt a gun pressed against her back. It was Monika's gun. The terrorist leader wanted to say something, but before she could utter a word, she fell dead. A bullet from Klaudia's machine gun killed her. The two women, along with the PSR leader, ran to Bartek, who lay nearby. Their boss was already dead. Tears welled up in both girls' eyes. The fight continued in the background...

A few days later, a ceremony was held to officially thank the anti-terrorist unit for destroying the "Black Twilight" group, which could no longer exist without its leader. Sylwia became the new head of the anti-terrorist unit, and Klaudia was appointed her deputy. The operation at the docks was a resounding success, despite the casualties. A moment of silence was held in their memory. Despite their promotion, the heroines were saddened, having lost a good friend...
