Cherry Granola Bars



Ingredients
Flour 1.5 cups
Baking powder 1 tsp
Brown sugar 1 cup
Oatmeal 1.5 cups
Salt 1/2 tsp
Walnuts 1/2 cup
Pecans 1/2 cup
Butter 50 g
Cherry jam 480 ml

Grease a baking dish. Preheat oven to 175°C. In a large bowl, combine flour, oats, brown sugar, baking powder, and salt. Mix thoroughly.

Finely chop nuts (pecans, walnuts) and add to the flour. You can add your favorite nuts of your choice.

 Cut the butter into cubes and add it to the flour and oat mixture. Gently knead the dough. It should be crisp and crumbly.

Place half the dough in a greased pan. Spread the dough evenly over the pan. Spread the cherry jam on top. Place the remaining dough on top of the jam. Smooth the dough out so it completely covers the jam.

Place the baking pan in the oven for 35 minutes. Bake until golden brown. When the pastries are completely cool, cut them into bars.
