Ingredients
for the pudding:
2 cups milk
50 g sugar
1 tbsp instant coffee
2 tbsp starch
2 eggs
2 tbsp butter
1 tsp vanilla extract
For the chocolate layer:
2 tbsp cocoa powder
3 tbsp sugar
70 g butter
2 tbsp milk
40 g dark chocolate
Bring the milk, sugar, and vanilla to a boil. Meanwhile, beat the eggs, add the starch and coffee, and beat again. Pour the boiling milk in a very thin stream. Return to the saucepan and simmer over low heat until thickened. Remove from heat and immediately stir in the butter. Let cool.
For the filling, combine cocoa, butter, milk, and sugar over low heat. When the butter has completely melted and the mixture is smooth, add the chopped chocolate. Cook, stirring, until the mixture is thick and shiny. Cool. Serve in portions, alternating pudding and chocolate. Refrigerate for at least 3 hours before serving.
