Ingredients
8 nectarines
1 vanilla bean
100 ml water
200 ml sugar
1/4 tsp cardamom
1/4 tsp cinnamon
Optional:
200 ml whipping cream
50 g sugar
50 ml almond liqueur
Cut the vanilla bean in half and remove the seeds. Bring the water, sugar, vanilla bean, and seeds to a boil in a saucepan until the syrup thickens (about 15 minutes). Remove the vanilla bean and strain the syrup.
Wash the nectarines, cut them in half, and remove the pits. Fry the nectarine slices on both sides until golden brown and slightly softened.
Drizzle the cooked nectarines with syrup. Serve with whipped cream, almond liqueur, and sugar, or with ice cream and crushed cookies.
