Allen

Alen dismounted. He found himself on a small beach, patted his faithful steed's head, and then tied it to a tree in a convenient spot. He turned and walked slowly, confidently toward the shipwrecked on the shore. He knew what awaited him there, what he would be forced to do, and suspected the consequences. But he also knew why he was doing it; he knew that this was the only way he had a chance to save the world from eternal darkness. Stepping over an old, rotten beam that had once been a mast, he boarded the ship. He went straight to the captain's cabin, not looking around the wreckage. In the cabin, he saw the condemned spirit. It was a tall, once muscular man, with long hair, the color of which was now impossible to distinguish. The spirit cried out, and Alen's heart leaped at the thought of what he had to do.
"You miserable mortal, what do you want here? Are you just another one who wandered into these parts, or are you a fool who thinks we can be mocked because we're dead?" "
I've come for something you have that I need, and I won't leave without it!" the wizard said bravely! "
Maaape," voices echoed in the distance, "this fool wants the map, our only treasure! It's ours, and no one will take it from us. We made it ourselves centuries ago, back when we were still enjoying life in the world."
"You heard me!!! My brothers won't give you the map!" the spirit hissed
. "But you have it! And I can give you the thing you desire most!" Alen said, his voice clearly agitated!
"I AM DEAD, I WANT NOTHING!" "The ghost yelled mockingly.
"And the part of my soul that will allow you to leave this world for eternal rest?" Alen said, feeling his heart leap into his throat.
There was a moment of silence that even the other ghosts were afraid to break.
"Do you know what this means for you?" the ghost asked, as if with pity for Alen, but also with an irresistible temptation to get what he had been promised! "
I don't know exactly, and no one knows, because no one has ever done it, but I will be the first!" You could feel the pride in his voice! "My life is the least important here," he added, and then allowed the ghost to begin the ritual to take a piece of his soul!
When he awoke, he found himself lying next to his horse on the beach, and in his hand was a piece of paper!
