Baked Penne Pasta Neapolitan Style



Ingredients
Penne pasta 500 g
Ground meat 700 g
Onion 1
Red bell pepper 1
Tomato paste 2 tbsp
Dry red wine 50 ml
Cheese 150 g
Parsley 1 bunch
Milk 400 ml
Butter 2 tbsp
Olive oil 0.5 tbsp
Flour 2 tbsp
Salt to taste
Pepper to taste

Finely chop the onion and fry for 3 minutes in vegetable oil. Add finely chopped bell pepper and fry for another 2-3 minutes.

Add the ground meat, season with salt and pepper, and fry for 10 minutes, stirring constantly. Pour in the wine and continue frying for another 3 minutes, until the liquid has evaporated. Add finely chopped parsley and tomato paste, stir, and simmer for 4 minutes.

Boil the pasta, drain, then add 0.5 tbsp olive oil and stir.

Prepare the sauce. Melt the butter in a saucepan, add the flour, and stir until smooth. Gradually, stirring constantly, pour in the milk and bring the mixture to a boil. Remove from heat.

Place half the pasta in the bottom of the dish. Pour half the sauce over it and spread it evenly. Next, add the minced meat and smooth it out. Cover with the remaining pasta. Spread the remaining sauce evenly on top.

Sprinkle with grated cheese and bake in a preheated oven at 200ºC (400ºF) for 25 minutes.
