Is there a more beautiful sight in the world than a desert sunrise? That moment just before dawn, when the first glimmer of light interrupts the restrained rhapsody of moonlight mid-beat... The inherent tragedy of this moment, when the power of darkness is about to collapse, to give way to a great ball of fire, unfolds day after day. But who pays attention? To humans, starlight doesn't count as light at all, for they value the brightness of day over the charms of night. But I disagree. Well, I'm not human, after all...
Oh yes, the desert, plunged into darkness, is beautiful. It dazzles with the diversity of life, which literally sinks underground with the first rays of sunlight. It's astonishing that our fleeting acquaintance began against such a backdrop. Are you trying to tell me that I, too, will be defeated, like the fading twilight? Could this be an attempt to intimidate me, an attempt at psychological manipulation? Such methods are unlike you, the 'good ones.' Although, I must admit: I lost....
Your pathetic words, full of passion and sacrifice, still ring in my ears. You rejected all my offers. You refused food, even though hunger tormented you. You wanted no power over the world, even though, in your hands, it would have given you unlimited possibilities. You expected nothing from me, or even from these wretched people. Not respect, not devotion, not even faith in who you were, and yet you deserved all of that! You only wanted to fulfill your heroic mission, leading straight to self-destruction. You knew what awaited you, didn't you? It's hard to believe that my Father's Son, the Light born of the eternal Radiance, could not have foreseen the consequences of his actions. On the other hand, to think that people without a shred of imagination would be able to understand the meaning of salvation.... To be sarcastic, I could say that transforming into a mortal limited your horizons. But you had your calling and saw no world beyond it. They should have given you the nickname 'Jesus who never turns back' or 'Jesus the fearless'.
Your calling... It was what guided you. It was your strength. It was what made you the enemy of the crowds and their champion at the same time. Is that what it's all about? Making people heroes? And yet, so few follow the paths laid out for them. It's a pity... Perhaps this is precisely where the key to fulfillment and complete happiness lies. But then again, man is known for his ignorance and his profound resistance to all the promptings sent from above. How illogically do all who stray from their paths! It is obvious that it is those who follow their calling who are the driving force of this world. They are the ones who achieve the impossible, pushing the world forward. Unfortunately, few of them walk this Earth, and there are no ways to lead the rest away from the pathless paths of life.
