Ingredients
Trout (fillets) 4
Soy sauce 1/4 cup
Chicken broth 1/2 cup
Sugar 1/2 teaspoon
Ginger 1.5 teaspoons
Garlic 1 clove
Starch 2 tablespoons
Water
Mirin sauce 2 tablespoons
Egg white 1
Sesame seeds 1/4 cup
Vegetable oil
Soy sauce, rice sauce, broth, sugar, ginger, and pressed garlic. In another bowl, dissolve 2 tablespoons of starch in water.
Whisk the egg white with 2 teaspoons of starch and brush the top of the fillets with this mixture. Dip them in the bowl with the sesame seeds. Heat oil in a frying pan and fry until golden brown (about 5 minutes). Turn over and continue cooking for another 3 minutes. Remove from the pan.
In a clean frying pan, bring the soy mixture to a boil for 2 minutes, stirring occasionally. Pour in the diluted starch and cook until thickened, about another minute.
Serve the cooked trout with soy sauce.
