Chapter 6 - 7 School Adventures... Mare.

The next day, after purchasing the appropriate uniforms, Mrs. Marisa Deed and Mr. Mikael Deed were ready to begin their "work." They stopped by the teachers' lounge. Everyone was already getting ready for their daily routine, so they grabbed their journals as well. In the doorway, Mikael kissed Mare on the cheek.
"Good luck...
" The devil didn't reply. Only when she was already in the yard and reached the PE locker room did she gently run her hand across her cheek. She immediately recovered and ran to her class, first-A (junior high school). Everyone lined up neatly.
"I don't need to change anything. They're behaving like good angels. Their teacher must have been demanding," she thought.
"Good morning.
" "Good morning," the group of boys replied politely.
"As you can see, I'm your new PE teacher. I hope we'll work well together, otherwise..."
Mare ran a finger across her neck. The boys laughed, but immediately sobered when they saw the calm expression on the teacher's face.
"What, so stiff? Hmm? Have you all lost your mind? Get moving now! Show me you'll run 20 laps.
" "And introduce yourselves?" one student squealed.
"Anyone who doesn't run those 20 laps will be remembered immediately. Now, get moving!"
The boys began running. The field was quite large, but Mare had to come up with something for their first lesson. She had plenty of ideas for exercises, but not a single one for committing a bad deed. She briefly wondered how Mikael could help the boys later. She'd just have to finish them off. She smiled at the thought.
The teacher's initial statement had everyone running 20 laps at once. They didn't want to show any weakness in front of the new PE teacher. Instead, Mare began having a great time, tormenting the other classes with different exercises every hour. Class 2C was the one who amused her the most. The frightened girls stood in a row. They didn't even dare to speak, and if any of them did, they did so quietly. Mare was amused by the sight of them. She decided to get active herself. They set up hurdles on the field. The girls struggled with jumping; one had lifted her leg too low, another was too short and couldn't jump as high, another was overweight and had difficulty jumping. The PE teacher was showing them how to do it properly. She took pity on them halfway through class. She paid for it with a few heartfelt hugs for helping them, but she didn't care. What mattered to her was having fun, no matter what form it took. She spent the entire seven hours in a very good mood. She promised herself she'd do something more serious in the afternoon.

Chapter 7 – School Adventures... Mikael

The little angel scanned the first section of the hallway and reached the second. Behind the door was his classroom, 1b. He took a deep breath and stepped inside. He found everyone there, boisterous and full of energy. Someone was pulling a girl's hair, someone was pretending to be a monkey, and still others were singing children's songs.
"It's a real jungle," he thought.
"Good morning," he said gently to the class.
No reaction.
"Please be quiet for the first period... and you might have a free period next time."
The class reluctantly agreed and took their seats. The gap-toothed children smiled at him. He tried to return the favor, but it wasn't so easy with 25 little devils staring at him. He looked at each one individually, and only when he reached the last person did he say,
"Introduce yourselves and tell me right away what you want to do during your free period."
The class seemed both moved and surprised. Until now, the principal would never give them a free hour and wouldn't ask about such things. They began to think and come up with all sorts of ideas. Most of them talked about talking, but some of the boys wanted to go play football on the field, while others wanted to sit in class and do nothing. Opinions were divided. Mikael had to think quickly to come up with something. He couldn't do it as quickly as Mare, but he had to do something.
The first period flew by. They spent their time introducing themselves, followed by the next. After the break, a free period began. Mikael asked the class to be quiet again and suggested a game:
"What?" the children asked.
"Rabs.
" "What's that?" they were surprised.
"Don't you know that game?"
Everyone shook their heads except a little boy sitting in the back.
"Domenico, do you know that game?"
The boy nodded. He was very shy.
"Come here and explain the rules to your classmates."
The little one waddled over to him, and then, once he was beside him, asked quietly,
"But I don't remember exactly if it was like this..."
"Don't worry," he replied, also whispering. "You can count on my help, if anything."
Domenico smiled from ear to ear and stood in the middle of the classroom. His whispered conversation with Mr. Deed aroused considerable interest in the class. After a moment, the boy explained the rules, as it turned out, without Mikael's help. Immediately, everyone began to have fun. For pounds, they did wonderful things to get their pens or even their school bags back. They danced, sang, recited poems, and drew on the blackboard. No one was bored. Thanks to the change in atmosphere, it was easier for the angel to teach subsequent lessons. The environment and Italian language went smoothly, as did math.
His lessons with the kids ended after five hours. He regretted only spending those few miserable hours with the class. He wished they could last longer. He only worried about what Mare would do to those children and what harm she would do to them...
