Ingredients
Water 1 cup
Sugar 1 tbsp
Sunflower oil 3 tbsp
Salt 0.25 tsp
Dry yeast 1 packet
Vanilla sugar to taste
Flour 3 cups
In a bowl, combine water, oil, sugar, salt, yeast, and flour. Knead the dough, first with a spoon, then by hand. The dough should be soft, elastic, not dense, but not runny.
Grease a baking pan (28 x 18 cm) with vegetable oil. Roll into balls the size of a small apple. Place them in the pan, about 1 cm apart, or tighter. Let sit in a warm place for about 5 minutes.
Place in a preheated oven (180°C).
Bake until done. While baking, when they're just beginning to brown, brush them with a sugar-water mixture to create a beautiful, bright crust on top.
