Puff pastry buns with cheese



Ingredients
Flour 500 g
Milk 200 ml
Vegetable oil 100 ml
Egg white 1
Dry yeast 5 g
Salt 2 tsp
Sugar 2 tsp
Butter 80 g
Cream cheese 300 g
Egg yolk 1
Milk 2 tbsp

Dissolve the yeast in warm milk and sugar, pour into a bowl with sifted flour, and begin kneading the dough. Add the butter, egg white, and salt, knead, cover the bowl with plastic wrap, and leave in a warm place until the dough has doubled in size.

 Divide the finished dough (very pliable and elastic, like soft play dough) into 8 pieces, roll into balls, cover, and let rest for 15 minutes. Roll each ball into roughly equal-sized flat cakes, stack them on top of each other, brushing them well with butter.

Turn the resulting stack upside down and begin rolling it out. You should end up with a flat cake 50-70 cm in diameter. Cut it into 16 pieces, like croissants.

Place a spoonful of cheese or cottage cheese on the wide end of each triangle, fold the edges inward, and roll into a croissant roll. Place on a parchment-lined baking sheet, brush with egg yolk mixed with milk, and let rise for 1-1.5 hours. Bake at 180-200°C for 25-30 minutes, until golden brown.
