Shepherd's Potato Pie



Ingredients
Potatoes 1000 g
Egg yolk
Sour cream 2 tbsp
Chicken broth 1/2 cup
Salt
Pepper
Ground beef 800 g
Carrot 1
Onion 1
Butter 2 tbsp
Flour 2 tbsp
Beef broth 1 cup
Worcestershire sauce 2 tsp
Green peas 1/2 cup
Paprika 1 tsp
Parsley 2 tbsp

Peel the potatoes, cut them into quarters, and boil them in salted water for 12-15 minutes. Drain. In a bowl, combine the sour cream, egg yolk, salt, pepper, and chicken broth. Add the potatoes and mash until smooth. While the potatoes are cooking, fry the ground beef, season with salt and pepper. Add the sliced carrots and chopped onion and cook for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally. In a small skillet over medium heat, heat the butter and flour. Mix well and pour in the beef broth and Worcestershire sauce. Cook until thickened, about 3-5 minutes.

Combine the vegetables with the ground beef. Add the peas. Preheat the broiler, place the ground beef in a baking dish, and top with the mashed potatoes. Sprinkle with paprika and broil until golden brown. Remove from the oven, sprinkle with parsley, and serve.
