On a night in 2015, a resident of Myślenice experienced an unusual event. In the early morning hours, the man awoke with a feeling of heaviness on his chest, and next to him sat a mysterious humanoid figure resembling a young woman. Called "WiB" (women in black), these beings feature prominently in ufological and paranormal literature, often associated with strange, inexplicable events. Despite the brief encounter, the experience left a profound impression on the witness, leaving him with a feeling of uncertainty.

In the early morning hours of winter 2015, a resident of Myślenice experienced an unusual and disturbing encounter in his home. In a telephone conversation, the witness recounted a mysterious visit from a creature he described as a humanoid figure with the appearance of a young woman. The incident bears the hallmarks of a close encounter with the so-called WiB.
The witness awoke around five or six in the morning with a feeling of heaviness in his chest. He opened his eyes and saw the figure of a young woman standing close to him, whom he estimated to be around 22 years old. The creature was dressed in a light white dress with red polka dots, reminiscent of the style worn by Polish women in the 1930s. The most striking feature of her appearance were her inhuman, black eyes, which filled her entire eye sockets.
Despite its unusual appearance, the witness felt no fear or apprehension in the presence of this figure. On the contrary, he felt a pleasant vibration and positive attitude from the girl sitting near him, smiling in a way he described as delicate and artificial. At the same time, however, the figure exuded a distinct artificiality and unnaturalness, which aroused the man's distrust. The figure was motionless, further intensifying the impression of its unnaturalness. The witness attempted to make eye contact and examine the figure more closely, but despite the entity's seemingly positive demeanor, it refused to engage with it. As he tried to push the figure away, the man clearly felt its "hardness." After a few minutes, the figure vanished into thin air, leaving the witness with a sense of astonishment and uncertainty.
The witness shared his thoughts about the encounter, comparing it to accounts of apparitions and paranormal phenomena, which also described tangible, though not entirely material, beings. He noted the intensity of the dress's whiteness and the unnaturally vivid colors of the red stains. The witness compared the whiteness and colors to those seen in laundry detergent advertisements, noting that, in his opinion, their intensity was much greater.
Even though the encounter was short and lasted only a few minutes, it left a deep mark on the memory of the witness, who described it as astonishing and disturbing, but at the same time full of positive vibrations from the mysterious being.
The account from Myślenice is one of several accounts of encounters with the so-called WiB (women in black), figures known in ufological and paranormal literature. It is also one of the few such accounts from Poland. WiB is the female version of the phenomenon known as MiB (men in black, although the name is most often translated as "people in black"). Somewhat contrary to their name, these figures do not always dress in black; they can also be seen in white or other unusual clothing.A distinctive feature of the WiBs is the distinct artificiality emanating from these characters. This manifests itself in exceptionally "stiff," rehearsed behavior, robotic speech patterns (if any verbal communication occurs between the character and the witness), and unnatural facial expressions. The WiBs' clothing is usually old-fashioned and unnaturally clean, sometimes seamless and smooth, giving them an artificial appearance. The Myślenice account also mentions the unnaturally bright colors of the characters' clothing. Some accounts of the WiBs mention completely black eyeballs.
Those who have experienced encounters with WiBs also mention an aura of uncertainty surrounding these figures. The witness from Myślenice, although he felt no fear of the figure, demonstrated a profound lack of trust and a reluctance to engage with him. As is often the case with MIBs, the purpose of the WiBs' visits to witnesses' homes remains unknown.
A transcript of the conversation with the Myślenice witness will be featured in episode 67 of the "Witnesses Speak" podcast. The interviewee requested that his voice be changed and that he remain anonymous.
