Ingredients
Flour 1 cup
Cheese 100 g
Egg 1 egg
Milk 1 cup
Baking powder 2 tsp
Paprika 1 tsp
Basil 1 tsp
Salt to taste
Preheat oven to 200 degrees Celsius. Sift the flour and baking powder into a large bowl. Add the spices and salt to the flour and mix well.
Grate the cheese on a fine grater. Mix the milk and egg with a fork, then add the grated cheese and mix well. Pour the cheese and milk mixture into the flour mixture and mix well with a fork.
Pour the batter into the muffin tins and bake. If you have a Teflon muffin tin, greasing is not necessary. If you're unsure about its non-stick properties, lightly grease it. Bake for 20-25 minutes.
Let the finished muffins cool slightly, remove them from the pan, and enjoy the savory flavor and tender texture. You can top the muffins with Philadelphia cream.
