Ingredients
500 g flour
7 g dry yeast
3 tbsp sugar
1 cup milk
80 g butter
1 egg
1 tsp salt
For the filling:
1 can boiled condensed milk
1 cup walnuts
Mix the yeast with the flour, add the sugar, egg, milk, butter, and salt. Knead into a soft dough (you can use a food processor or bread machine). Cover the dough with a plastic bag and refrigerate overnight.
Divide the dough into 2 portions (you'll get 2 Kranz). Roll each piece into a square approximately 25 cm on a side and about 0.5 cm thick.
Spread the dough with boiled condensed milk and sprinkle with crushed nuts. Roll tightly.
Cut the roll in half lengthwise and twist the two halves into a rope. Place the rope in a greased baking dish and let rise for another 20-30 minutes.
Bake the kranz in a preheated oven at 180°C for about 40-45 minutes.
