Donuts with Glaze and Walnuts

Ingredients
100g butter
100g sour cream
2 eggs
1/2 cup powdered sugar
1.5 cups flour
1 tbsp milk
1/2 cup sugar
1 handful walnuts
1.5 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp cinnamon

About an hour before you start making the dough, remove the butter from the refrigerator. You can, of course, warm it in the microwave, but there's a risk of overmelting it, which will make it unusable for the dough. Preheat the oven to 180°C. Place the softened butter and sugar in a blender and blend until the sugar dissolves and the butter turns white. Then add the eggs one at a time.

In a separate bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and vanilla. Place half of the mixture in a blender and blend. Add the sour cream to the blender and blend again. Transfer the blender contents to the bowl with the remaining flour. Continue mixing the dough by hand, using a spatula or whisk.

You don't need to achieve a perfectly smooth dough; if there are still some lumps, that's okay. Now lightly grease the pan with oil (odorless vegetable oil is best) and fill it about 3/4 full with dough, or a little more. By the way, if you don't have a special donut pan, you can make regular muffins with this dough. The main thing is that the pan is small enough to allow the dough to bake properly. Place the donuts in the oven for 20-30 minutes (you can easily tell if they're done with a toothpick).

Meanwhile, prepare the glaze: take half a cup of powdered sugar and a little cinnamon, stirring and gradually adding milk until the glaze reaches the desired consistency. Remove the finished donuts from the pan, coat them with the glaze, and sprinkle with ground nuts. Here's a light version of the donuts. You can also make a dark version if you have some chocolate glaze on hand.

Bon appétit!
