In search of Bigfoot, go to... Great Britain

New reports have emerged in the UK of a mysterious creature that could be a counterpart to the legendary Bigfoot. The Post was the first to investigate eyewitness accounts of sightings of the furry creature in the Cannock area. Reporter Nick Redfern conducted a series of interviews, and witnesses described the creature as being over two meters tall and with gleaming eyes. Despite skepticism from nature experts, locals' stories are generating growing interest, raising questions about what truly lurks in British forests.

BigfootBritish paranormal magazines are investigating reports - first reported by The Post - of a "Bigfoot"-like creature roaming the dense forest in the Cannock area.

The editorial team has obtained several eyewitness accounts that lend weight to the claims that Sasquatch - as the Red Indians called this living creature - is alive, and therefore... lives near you.

Respected investigative reporter Nick Redfern investigated the reports from Castle Ring to Slitting Mill.

All the locals who saw the mysterious beast described it the same way: as a large, hairy creature with glowing red eyes.

Jaqueline Haughton raised the alarm after encountering "Bigfoot" in the early hours of February 18, 1995, on the road from Cannock to Rugeley.

Writing for FATE magazine, Redfern reported: She was forced to swerve her car, narrowly avoiding a collision with a large, roaming animal that had entered the road less than 20 feet in front of the car.

Considering she was moving at such high speed, Jackie said, it was a miracle she didn't hit it. The encounter lasted only a few seconds, but she spotted the animal and said it was human-like, tall, very hairy, with two gleaming, glowing eyes. The animal quickly hid among the trees.

Jackie's report gained credibility when the driver and his companions reported a sighting at night in September 1998.

One of the four companions said, "It was tall, about the size of a man, crouching forward. As we passed it, it turned and looked at us. In my own words, I would describe it as about 2 meters tall, very strong-looking, and with dark, dark brown hair. I can't explain it; I still get goosebumps thinking about that creature."

Alec Williams witnessed eight Bigfoot encounters at the ancient Castle Ring monument in April 2004.

Williams firmly claims to have seen a creature over 2 meters tall, with short, shiny, dark brown fur, a large head and glowing bright red eyes.

Interestingly, Williams also stated that he saw "what looked like a camera flash coming from the nearby woods and heard a cry similar to an owl."

A local wildlife specialist we contacted dismissed the "Bigfoot" claims.
