Thunderbird

In North America, reports of a mysterious bird called the "thunderbird" have been circulating for centuries, piquing the interest of cryptozoologists. Sightings of this extraordinary creature, with an impressive wingspan of 6 to 11 meters, occur primarily along the Appalachian Mountains and in the Great Lakes region, Alaska, and California. Despite numerous reports and legends, the "thunderbird" has yet to be officially discovered, keeping its existence a mystery. One of North America's cryptozoological mysteries is the famous "thunderbird." They have been sighted for centuries in the United States and Canada, appearing to migrate along the Appalachian Mountains. In this century, the number of sightings has decreased significantly. Furthermore, reports of these birds have also come from the Great Lakes, Alaska, and California. Therefore, the species is quite widespread, making it even more improbable that it has not yet been officially discovered, despite ample evidence of its existence. The name "thunderbird" can be translated as "thunderbird" and was given by Native Americans. It comes from the fact that this animal seems to return north with the arrival of summer storms. Other names include Tlanuwa, Pilhannaw, and Mechquan.

The "Thunderbird" is primarily characterized by its enormous size, with a wingspan of approximately 20-35 feet, or roughly 6-11 meters. According to one description, "Its eyes were the size of saucers; its legs were as large as a horse's; its body was covered with hard skin, not the soft down of other birds." In most descriptions, the animal also has a massive and powerful beak, a rather long neck, and a short but spreading tail. It therefore appears to be a relative of herons and storks. The most compelling evidence for the existence of such a flying beast may have been a photograph allegedly taken on May 26, 1890, showing a dead bird being presented by several men. Unfortunately, the photograph has been lost, and no one has made a copy of it, only sketches.
