Mysterious animal deaths on the small island of Puerto Rico caused mass hysteria. Islanders named the animal El Vampiro de Moca, referencing a local legend about a mythical monster. Scientists gave it the name chupacabra, meaning "goat-sucker" in Spanish. Since similar cases were discovered in other parts of the world, the chupacabra has transformed from a "village monster" into a creature of international fame. Numerous chupacabra-related merchandise, plush toys, and T-shirts featuring its likenesses have been created. The chupacabra was believed to be the result of genetic manipulation theoretically performed on animals held captive in Puerto Rico. Everything was kept secret because the chupacabra was supposed to be an experiment by US government agencies. Such manipulation is already being conducted by many scientists around the world. Chinese scientist Dr. Tsian Kanchen has created a product of plant and animal gene manipulation. Recently, numerous experiments have been conducted with various human genes, creating, for example, a mouse with human ears. Kanchen developed methods for transferring parts of DNA from one organism to another – so is it possible to create a cow with wings? Scientific research strongly indicates that in a few years, such a mutation in a laboratory using cattle embryos and, for example, a bird of prey will be possible. But such manipulation could one day get out of control and lead to an ecological disaster. So it's better not to risk it. A chuppah, as a result of human experiments on rhesus monkeys, escaped and began attacking farm animals. Everything was kept secret because it was theoretically a matter of US honor. Some claimed that many animals brought to this small Caribbean island, such as big cats, also caused hysteria among the unadapted population. Erroneous DNA testing of the mysterious creature revealed that it was not a species known on Earth. The ratios of elements in the blood also didn't match those found in humans. At some point, the word "alien" had to be uttered. An extraterrestrial being that came to Earth to destroy us! However, these were false studies and theories that had nothing to do with reality. Mysterious deaths have a natural cause. Just because someone thinks what they're seeing is unfamiliar doesn't mean it has to be. Scientists have now concluded that, as a result of attacks by stray dogs and rhesus monkeys, populations bred at research institutes on the island, managed to escape from breeding centers and began attacking domestic animals. Feral dogs, accustomed to humans and re-adapted to a semi-natural environment due to the lack of natural prey, began preying on weak and defenseless farm animals that couldn't defend themselves. Theorizing that the bloodsucking occurred without harming the prey was comparable to descriptions like "I saw a UFO." Fear and other factors, that accompany humans in extraordinary, unusual situations have created unrealistic descriptions of creatures that bear no resemblance to what was actually seen. Sometimes, this chupacabra was simply a human disguised as the creature. People only dressed up as the chuppah when they knew how the general public referred to the creature and how its appearance was interpreted. This was the result of the imagination of those who saw the alleged chuppah, which was actually only a dog or a monkey.
