Other reports

There are also other, more cursory accounts of sightings of unidentified animals in our country. These include:

- there is a preserved account from the 16th century of the sighting of a marine animal similar to the so-called sea monk near Gdańsk

- On July 26, 1713, in a forest near Wrocław, a forester named Zander killed a snake-like animal about 5.5 meters long.

- in 1919, a creature similar to Saltie (an unidentified marine animal inhabiting the Baltic Sea) was observed several times near the Polish coast

- In the 1930s, several sightings of a creature similar to the Tatzelwurm were reported. All of the sightings were made in Silesia.

- in 1982, tourists bathing in Lake Zegrze (Nieporęt commune, Legionowo district, Masovian Voivodeship) noticed an animal over six meters long with a black head and rabbit-like ears

- There are fragmentary reports of sightings of an unidentified animal on the Polish-Belarusian border. Witnesses compare the animal to a chupacabra.

- a similar animal was observed in April 2006 near Gdynia
