In Poland, as in other parts of the world, there are many legends and stories about mysterious creatures known as cryptids. In this article, we'll explore interesting accounts of Polish cryptids that spark both curiosity and controversy. From the basilisk, to the alien black dog, to the local version of the chupacabra, we'll discover the extraordinary creatures that supposedly inhabited our country. We'll also examine documentation of sightings and theories about their origins, which may shed new light on these mysterious phenomena.
Most of us are probably familiar with accounts of the Chupacabra of Puerto Rico, the Yeti of the Himalayas, the Sasquatch of North America, and the Tatzelwurm of Switzerland. Many also often wonder: do any cryptids live or have lived in Poland? The answer is YES! You can read about these cryptids in this article.
In the first part, I will describe observations that have been relatively well documented. In the second part of the article, I will provide any other fragmentary records I have. In this article, you will only find reports directly concerning Poland.
