Then there are cattle mutilations. The renowned Linda Multon Howe cataloged them throughout New Mexico between 1973 and 1983. Some say these mutilations appear to be the work of biological scavengers.
Leading figures in the hominological community have now concluded that the humanoid ape issue is less about surviving primates than about a human hybrid – and it may even be a handiwork as a result of extraterrestrial intervention.
Igor Burtsev, Russia's foremost spokesman on the matter, no longer expresses the view that the Snowman is a living Neanderthal, a hypothesis he and many of his colleagues have held. Avoiding discussions involving UFOs, he calls the Snowman a "parallel man" and maintains that he exhibits certain special abilities (information taken from a personal interview).
Has the relic hominid theory reached its end? There may be an intriguing theory, albeit one drawn from fiction, that combines both possibilities. In 1955, Nobel Prize-winning writer William Golding (best known for his novel "Lord of the Flies") published a novella titled "The Inheritors." It features a Neanderthal race that—despite possessing telepathy and clairvoyance—is being pushed out by the newcomers, the competitive and technological Homo sapiens.Leaving the realm of science fiction, based on my own research, I believe that a small population of Neanderthals may have survived in Central Asia until at least the 20th century. They may have been flesh-and-blood animals, devoid of occult powers. Still, there is undoubtedly a significant body of evidence that points to something more bizarre. Are these fragments of a whole, or is the supposed connection flawed?
The growing willingness of Yeti/Bigfoot researchers to ask this question and join forces with UFO theorists gives me some hope that one day we might be able to connect the dots.
