Residents of the Goleniów area in Western Pomerania have been anxiously observing a mysterious creature that has been terrorizing the region for several weeks, killing livestock. The beast, nicknamed the Pomórnik, is particularly fond of rabbits, leaving behind terrifying tracks. Despite intensive searches by both local farmers and the police, the creature remains elusive. Ultimately, after the intervention of a local witch, the situation in the area improved, but residents still fear the Pomórnik's return.
"Paniced people from the Goleniów area in Western Pomerania are locking themselves in their homes. After dark, they don't go out themselves or let their children out. With trembling hearts, armed with pitchforks, axes, and stakes, they watch for the murderous beast every night. They fear that after the animals, it will be their turn..."
This is the beginning of one of the first articles in the "Fakt" newspaper about an unknown creature prowling around Pomerania, which the locals called Pomórnik after a local legend.
